On 18 December 2019, Agricultural Bank of China (“ABC”), Singapore Branch was invited by Singapore Exchange ("SGX") to participate in the market opening ceremony to celebrate the 20th anniversary of SGX. ABC Singapore Branch’s management and staff of more than 20 people attended the symbolic event.

In recent years, through in-depth cooperation with SGX, ABC Singapore Branch have helped China's “going global” strategy clients by accessing international capital markets. In terms of debt capital market activities, the branch successfully assisted Chongqing Grain Group, China Eastern Airlines, Shandong Gold and other customers in completing their bond issuances. In terms of treasury business, the branch had successfully issued the first USD500 million bond on SGX in September 2019. The successful issuance not only achieved the tightest spread in the market over the same period among the peers, but also effectively expanded the branch's funding source channels and enhanced the stability of funding sources. In terms of Real Estate Investment Trust (REITs) business, tapping on Singapore's leading Asian REITs advantage, the branch participated in the listing and/or syndicated loan facilities of Sasseur REIT, EC World REIT and BHG Retail REIT. Through these businesses, ABC Singapore Branch maintained a stable development of business in the local market.

Through this joyous event, ABC Singapore Branch demonstrated a good rapport and further strengthened its relationship with SGX. In the future, the two parties will not only continue to deepen business cooperation in debt capital market and REITs business but also foster new cooperation to jointly promote business development.
