Recently, ABC Singapore branch successfully conducted the annual Disaster Recovery (DR) exercise with the assistance and guidance from the Head office. Under the scenario that the office building was damaged and inaccessible, the Crises Management Team assessed and activated the Business Continuity Plan (BCP) of the Singapore Branch. The daily operations were switched from normal office building to DR centre to recover essential services to customers, covering all operational processes, critical systems and major businesses.  

Staff from front office, IT, compliance, human resource, middle and back office departments participated in this DR exercise.  This DR exercise indicated that the branch is able to deal effectively with a wide range of potential disruptions or disasters. Through this exercise, the branch’s business continuity preparedness and disaster recovery capabilities were further enhanced.
