In line with the Bank’s joint marketing effort between domestic and overseas branches in supporting Chinese corporates venturing out of China, Singapore Branch successfully participated in COFCO’s subsidiary - Nidera BV’s loan syndication. The said syndication was oversubscribed with 19 participating banks.

COFCO is a core and industry-focused customer of our head office. Last year, a consortium led by COFCO comprising mainly HOPU Investment, Temasek Holdings and International Finance Corporation acquired 51% of Nidera BV, a Dutch major international agribusiness and trading company, as part of COFCO’s global expansion in the agricultural market.  

The participation of this syndication by Singapore Branch not only reflects the Bank’s capability in supporting Chinese corporates’ overseas ventures, it also further entrenches the Bank’s relationship with COFCO group globally.
