The Singapore Workforce Development Agency (WDA) has developed the Jobs Bank.  It is a new job portal to facilitate online job hunting between local job seekers and employers.

ABC Singapore Branch is a participant to this national project that has officially launched on 1 August 2014.

In this initiative, companies that registered their job vacancies with Jobs Bank will need to accord fair considerations in hiring Singaporeans and Singapore Permanent Residents for a job; before seeking other alternatives such as getting non-Singaporeans to fill the positions posted where there is a need for an Employment Pass (EP) application.  Advertisements must be placed in the Jobs Bank for at least 14 calendar days. Companies can, at the same time, advertise on other platforms or private job portals, in addition to Jobs Bank.

Jobs Bank initiative is one of the recent measures Singapore government put in place. ABC Singapore Branch remains firmly committed to support WDA's effort to ensure a harmonized and aligned hiring policy.
