In aligning with the Ministry of Manpower initiatives to support Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) management, ABC Singapore Branch set up a task force in 2nd half of 2013 to promote a safe and healthy work environment. The Workplace Safety and Health Committee, which comprises staff from different departments, held regular meetings, inspected work premises and came up with a list of potential safety hazards in the office. This was followed by discussions and taking appropriate remedial actions to eliminate or reduce the hazards. At the same time, various activities such as lunch talks, workouts and workshops targeting at employees’ mental and physical health are organized to create awareness on WSH and improve workplace wellness.

Going forward, the Bank will continue to reinforce a safe and healthy workplace culture. This is to ensure that all employees are able to enjoy work in a danger-free environment.
