Recently, ABC Singapore Branch became one of the 3 CNH Mandated Lead Arrangers (“MLA”) in Trafigura Beheer BV (“Trafigura”)’s inaugural Asian CNH funded syndicated facility.

Trafigura is the world's second largest trader in the non-ferrous concentrates metal and the third largest independent oil trader. Trafigura has been tapping the Asian syndication market on a yearly basis to meet its financing requirement. ABC Singapore Branch first established its relationship with Trafigura in 2007 and currently, Trafigura is an important customer of ABC Singapore Branch.

This is the first time that a global commodity trading group incorporated a CNH tranche into its syndication. With ABC Singapore Branch’s successful participation in the CNH tranche, it not only deepens its bilateral relationship with Trafigura, but also enables the Bank, being a Chinese Bank, to display its Renminbi competitive advantage, thereby enhances its brand image and market reputation.
