Contributing to Recycling Project for a Good Cause

In a series of CSR initiatives lined for the year, the Bank kicked off its 2nd CSR Project by contributing to a recycling project in support of Dignity Kitchen.

Project Dignity Kitchen is Singapore’s first hawker training school for the physically-challenged and less-privileged group. In today’s fast-paced society, they face a greater challenge competing in the job marketplace.

The training school provides them with job training and placement opportunities to enable them to be economically-active and to lead a better life. The school operates like a real food court in allowing the public to interact with the students – just like in any regular eating place setting – thus enhancing the work-life experience of the trainees.

We encourage all staff to help collect all empty printer cartridges and pass them to HR Department by the 3rd week of every quarter, e.g. March, June, September and December 2013 – where the cartridges will be sold to SG Printer Refill at a nominal value and all proceeds will go directly to Dignity Kitchen to help generate funds for a good cause.

We are glad to be able to play a role in this recycling project.
