Executive Vice President’s visit to Singapore Branch with delegation

On 15th November, the Bank's EVP, Mr. Gong Chao, led a delegation of senior officials from the Head Office to visit the Singapore Branch.

They were given a comprehensive presentation of the Branch’s recent developments.

Affirming the Branch's milestones achieved thus far, a beaming Mr. Gong pointed to the rapid growth of trade financing businesses and the development of new trade financing products as growth drivers. He added that with improved operational efficiencies and sterling management focus that helped to form the cornerstone of success, the Branch was able to excel in the various Key Performance Indicators vis-a-vis other Chinese banks with Singapore presence.

On behalf of the Head Office Central Committee, Mr. Gong congratulated the Singapore Branch on its outstanding results. He expressed gratitude to all staff for their invaluable contributions.

He urged the Singapore Branch to steadfastly abide by the creed of “prudent management, conscientious supervision, steady progression, exemplify uniqueness" motto. At the same time, continuously developing intra-group partnership and building up trade finance specializations through geographical advantage, and consequently transforming the Branch into a regional trade financing hub for South East Asia.

Mr. Gong further reiterated that the Singapore Branch should capitalize on its strength in the training of international human capital competencies; develop a niche in global IT system excellence as well as acting as a springboard for ABC's strategy in its internationalization efforts.
